Me Aurélien Rocher is a French attorney and academic with solid expertise in digital and company law.
After being sworn in as an attorney in Lyon in 2014, he began his career in Switzerland, in the legal departments of the Big Four, where he created and led the team dedicated to new technology law for one of them. In parallel to his duties as a practitioner, he has continuously developed academic, teaching and research activities, focused on business and digital law. This unique career path has led him to develop particular expertise in cross-border matters, based on his in-depth knowledge of European regulations and his practice in Swiss law.
Accustomed to working in multidisciplinary teams, he brings a pragmatic vision and ensures that his legal advice aims both at legal compliance and the satisfaction of his clients' strategic objectives. Also drawing on his numerous publications in Switzerland and internationally (notably in France, Canada, China and the United States), some of which have been referenced on the scientific blogs of Harvard and Oxford Universities, he uses his precise knowledge of the applicable regulations in his legal projects. When foreign national laws are relevant, he mobilizes his network of foreign university colleagues and peers to anticipate and manage reforms impacting the digital domain.
Me Rocher holds a doctorate in law from the University of Lyon 3 thanks to a thesis in company law that was awarded the research prize in governance by the Institut Français des Administrateurs, as well as the title of lawyer and a Master's degree and diploma as a corporate counsel lawyer (DJCE) in Business Law and Taxation from the University of Lyon
